JANUARY 18, 2012
About half an hour ago, I guess around 9 p.m., my dad gave me his Canon EOS 500N. That’s the film camera I grew up with. That’s the camera that took all the photographs of me that ever existed when I was a kid. That’s the camera I dreaded (I’ve always hated having my portrait taken, especially because my dad would always take forever to take even one photograph) but have come to love and miss. And now, it’s mine.
The moment of the change in possession was…I have no words for it.
You have no idea what this means to me.
